Sport2Clean Receives A Royal Visit Outside of Australias Premier Sporting Event The 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

A truly memorable milestone for Sport2Clean came during the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, when King Charles III and The Queen Consort took time to personally visit one of our community initiatives. Their Royal Highnesses met with students from Robina State High School, who were recognised for their outstanding contributions to marine conservation with the presentation of custom-designed surfboards. The students also unveiled an innovative bin artwork, inspired by microplastic pollution they discovered through sand-sifting efforts on local beaches.

In a moment that captured the spirit of Sport2Clean, King Charles III himself requested a live surfing demonstration, reflecting his genuine interest in the role sport can play in environmental awareness and youth engagement.
